Two broth­ers have been charged with the mur­der of 17-year-old Isa­iah De­shawn Hit­lal.

The Po­lice Ser­vice said Vic­tor Tim­o­thy, 33, and Leon Tim­o­thy, 24, both labour­ers, of Damarie Hill, San­gre Grande, were charged with mur­der, pos­ses­sion of firearm and pos­ses­sion of am­mu­ni­tion, fol­low­ing ad­vice re­ceived from Deputy Di­rec­tor of Pub­lic Pros­e­cu­tions, Joan Hon­ore-Paul, on Mon­day.

Tim­o­thy al­so faces an ad­di­tion­al charge of shoot­ing with in­tent.

Hit­lal, of San­gre Grande, was with two oth­er vic­tims at Ja­cob Coat Road, around 7. 50 pm­Feb­ru­ary 2, 2019, when a white Toy­ota wag­on stopped along­side them and two men armed with guns ex­it­ed.

The as­sailants fired sev­er­al shots in the di­rec­tion of the vic­tims, re­sult­ing in the teen re­ceiv­ing mul­ti­ple gun­shot in­juries about the body. The as­sailants then es­caped in the ve­hi­cle.

The vic­tim was tak­en to hos­pi­tal for treat­ment where he lat­er died.

The ac­cused were ar­rest­ed on April 1 at their home.
