An an­ti-crime op­er­a­tion con­duct­ed in the Mor­vant dis­trict yes­ter­day re­sult­ed in the seizure of a quan­ti­ty of cannabis.

Be­tween 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on De­cem­ber 26, of­fi­cers from the Mor­vant CID searched an area along Pitch Road, Mor­vant. Dur­ing the search, they dis­cov­ered a black plas­tic bag con­tain­ing eight clear plas­tic pack­ages, each filled with cannabis. The sub­stance weighed 443 grams, with an es­ti­mat­ed street val­ue of TT$13,290.

The op­er­a­tion was led by Act­ing Se­nior Su­per­in­ten­dent Ed­wards, Su­per­in­ten­dent Birch, and Act­ing As­sis­tant Su­per­in­ten­dent Cal­len­der. It was co­or­di­nat­ed by Act­ing In­spec­tor Ram­s­ingh and Sergeant May­nard.
