The Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice says be­tween 6 pm yes­ter­day and 1 am to­day, a team of of­fi­cers from var­i­ous units, in­clud­ing the ACP Tac­ti­cal Sup­port Unit, Na­tion­al Op­er­a­tions Task Force (NOTF), and oth­er agen­cies of the Cen­tral Di­vi­sion con­duct­ed an Op­er­a­tion Hori­zon Ex­er­cise.

It says act­ing on in­tel­li­gence, the of­fi­cers pro­ceed­ed to Base Road Cou­va where a search was con­duct­ed of a bushy area along the west­ern side of the road­way. The of­fi­cers found a white plas­tic bag con­tain­ing five mag­a­zines and 78 rounds of as­sort­ed am­mu­ni­tion.

The items were seized for fur­ther pro­cess­ing.

This ex­er­cise was spear­head­ed by ACP Thomp­son and Su­per­in­ten­dent Balka­ran and su­per­vised by ASP Rame­sar.
