Officers of the Central Division conducted a series of coordinated anti-crime, drug block, and road traffic operations across Chaguanas, Couva, Freeport, Longdenville, and surrounding areas on Friday, May 16, 2025.
The operations resulted in the arrest of eight individuals for various offences, including possession of cocaine and marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving under the influence, and matters related to robbery enquiries.
In addition, police issued 41 Fixed Penalty Notices for a range of traffic violations, including seatbelt infractions, operating vehicles without insurance, use of handheld devices while driving, traffic sign breaches, and vehicle inspection offences.
Over 110 Stop and Search/Street Check Forms were completed during the operations. Police also executed eight outstanding warrants, with a combined total value of over $66,000.
These exercises were part of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service’s ongoing efforts to disrupt criminal activity, enforce traffic laws, and enhance public safety.
