RHON­DOR DOWLAT-ROS­TANT

Po­lice have con­firmed that a Ch­agua­nas busi­ness­man was killed in an ac­ci­dent on Mon­day af­ter­noon in To­co.

Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, at about 1:50 pm, Ag Cpl Ali and par­ty of of­fi­cers re­spond­ed to an ac­ci­dent re­port in the vicin­i­ty of Lp #12 Pen­zance, Ba­lan­dra.

On ar­rival at the scene, the of­fi­cers ob­served a white Kia Sor­ren­to fac­ing west across the north-bound lane, with ex­ten­sive dam­age to the en­tire front.

The of­fi­cers al­so ob­served de­bris along the road­way.  They found a man of East In­di­an de­scent slumped in the dri­ver’s seat.  He was clad in a red jer­sey and a pair of long blue jeans.

Po­lice said he was pinned be­neath the ve­hi­cle’s steer­ing wheel and ap­peared mo­tion­less.

The dri­ver was lat­er iden­ti­fied as Ravesh Jhinkoo of Ch­agua­nas.

Jhinkoo was a busi­ness­man who op­er­at­ed a ceil­ing in­stal­la­tion com­pa­ny to­geth­er with his wife, Sta­cy.  

He was pro­nounced dead on the scene by the Dis­trict Med­ical Of­fi­cer.
