A man was ar­rest­ed and a high-pow­ered ri­fle was seized at his Ceme­tery Street house in Char­lieville on Tues­day 13th Sep­tem­ber. This fol­lowed an an­ti-crime ex­er­cise by the Trinidad and To­ba­go Po­lice Ser­vice (TTPS) Port-of-Spain Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment Op­er­a­tions Team.

The ex­er­cise took place be­tween 12 noon and 8 PM yes­ter­day.  

As a re­sult, one AR-15 ri­fle and 10 rounds of 5.56 am­mu­ni­tion were found and seized. The male sus­pect was at his house at the time and was sub­se­quent­ly ar­rest­ed.  

In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing.
