Po­lice be­lieve that the burnt re­mains of a man found in the trunk of a car yes­ter­day, are those of miss­ing San­gre Grande res­i­dent Dane Ho­sein Jr.

Ho­sein, 32, of Quash Trace, San­gre Grande, was last seen at 10 am on Tues­day, af­ter leav­ing his girl­friend’s home promis­ing to re­turn home soon, but nev­er did.

At 3 pm yes­ter­day, the burnt rem­nants of his car were found along Ojoe Road, North East­ern Set­tle­ment, San­gre Grande, in an area known as Bois Bande Vil­lage. A body was lat­er found in the trunk.

In an un­re­lat­ed in­ci­dent, a 79-year-old man is dead af­ter the ve­hi­cle he and his son were trav­el­ling in plunged ap­prox­i­mate­ly 11 feet in­to a riv­er in Gran Cou­va.

Po­lice said Sha­heed Mo­hammed, of La­m­ont Street, Long­denville, was with his son, Shel­don, at the time of the ac­ci­dent.

Po­lice be­lieve Shel­don fell asleep while dri­ving along the Bras­so Tabaquite road at 2.50 am. The ve­hi­cle veered off the road­way and plunged in­to a riv­er. Af­ter re­gain­ing con­scious­ness, Shel­don tried to re­sus­ci­tate Mo­hammed but was un­suc­cess­ful.
