Kaleidoscope Paints Limited hosted a Christmas event for orphaned children at its San Juan compound on December 7.
The company welcomed about 300 children from 14 homes and orphanages across Trinidad. The event was held under the theme Colour Joy into Children’s Lives 2025.
The programme included appearances by Santa Claus, clowns and moko jumbies. Activities included face painting, a bouncy castle, parang music, a dunk tank, a magic and puppet show, horse riding and a petting zoo provided by the Emperor Valley Zoo.
Children attended with caregivers from the various homes. Food items included ice cream, cakes, apples and hot dogs. Children also received toys from Santa and balloon animals.
Chief Executive Officer Dale Parson said the event formed part of the company’s annual Christmas outreach.
“This celebration is not just about gifts or entertainment; it is about reminding every child that they are cherished, valued, and loved,” said Chief Executive Officer Dale Parson, who also serves as President of the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers’ Association. He said the company believed joy shared during the event would have a lasting impact.
Kaleidoscope Paints Limited said the initiative was supported by company staff and members of the business community.
The company said the event continues a tradition started by its founding father, the late Stephen Parson, during the 1970s and 1980s. The company said his focus on supporting children from vulnerable backgrounds shaped the initiative.
Kaleidoscope Paints Limited said the second and third generations of the Parson family continue the tradition as part of the company’s corporate outreach.
