Po­lice ar­rest­ed three men in Green­vale, La Hor­quet­ta, amid re­ports the men were steal­ing items from res­i­dents in the area Wednes­day.

At around 6.30 pm yes­ter­day, po­lice took the men to the La Hor­quet­ta Po­lice Sta­tion as they probed the un­sanc­tioned re­moval of items from flood-hit res­i­dents' homes in the area.

Res­i­dent Sharon Hamil­ton, who had been in­ter­viewed by both CNC 3 and the T&T Guardian on Mon­day, spoke about the is­sue yes­ter­day. She ex­plained that her ap­pli­ances were tak­en as she slept on Wednes­day. She said she was now seek­ing pic­tures of the ap­pli­ances as Hous­ing De­vel­op­ment Cor­po­ra­tion and So­cial De­vel­op­ment work­ers were still to do as­sess­ments at her home.

Up to press, how­ev­er, it was un­clear if the men had been charged.
