Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy before ruling out foul play in the death of 43-year-old Penal resident Sunita Khan.
Khan’s partially decomposing and naked body was discovered by her friend in her apartment at Sou Sou Lands, Penal Rock Road, on Saturday.
Police said Khan’s friend last spoke to her around 7 pm on Friday. The following day, he went to check on her around 3.30 pm and found her lying on the kitchen floor.
The body did not appear to have any marks of violence, said officials.
She lived alone and had been employed as a janitorial supervisor.
