A post-mortem that was car­ried out on the re­mains of Ja­maican dance­hall artiste ‘Medikk’, whose re­al name is Stephanie Williams, has led in­ves­ti­ga­tors to be­lieve that she died from bul­let wounds.

Skele­tal re­mains, sus­pect­ed to be those of Medikk, were found ear­li­er this year on Feb­ru­ary 14, in a cane field in the cen­tral parish of St. Cather­ine.

Williams went miss­ing on Au­gust 24 last year and when skele­tal re­mains were dis­cov­ered, DNA analy­sis re­vealed that the bones be­longed to Williams.

The mat­ter has since been up­grad­ed to a case of mur­der.

In ad­di­tion to her mu­si­cal ca­reer, Medikk owned a man­u­fac­tur­ing and dis­tri­b­u­tion com­pa­ny called Rhe­born Holis­tic that made nat­ur­al, per­son­al care and skin care items. —KINGSTON, Ja­maica (CMC)
