Prince Swanny, birth name Taryll Swan, is currently on tour ‘Bad & Clean’ in the United States and on Saturday night performed at the Majestic Event Centre at John Young Parkway, Orlando, Florida. The event was presented by ‘When Shottaz Involve Entertainment’ from 9 pm to 3 am (Sunday).
According to media reports, the Orlando Sentinel, a man died after a shooting in the parking lot at the Club Majestic nightclub in Orlando.
The shooting allegedly occurred just before 3:15 am where the victim, who has not yet been named, was taken to the Orlando Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
According to a police report, Lt. J. Darren Dillon of the Orlando Police Department said in a press release that “officials are still investigating and will provide further details.
In another report, in a WESH article, it stated that some people who attended Saturday night’s event told them that there was some sort of musical show and party inside.
“Posted outside the gates are flyers showing a Caribbean musical artist…One person we spoke with off-camera said he and his friends were stuck inside the venue for a moment when the shooting happened. It’s unclear how many people attended the event and how many were still there when gunfire erupted,” the WESH report stated.
Hours after the event, Prince Swanny took to Social Media where he posted: “Alyuh is characters wi (sic)…Random situations got nun 2 do with u or me … Ya Dig.”
However, Swanny’s management team in speaking with the Guardian Media confirmed that Prince Swanny was not harmed but added that they only allegedly heard about the shooting the next day.
“I was truly saddened to hear about the incident that occurred outside of Club Majestic. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family of the individual whose life was lost,” Swanny’s management said.
“We do not condone violence and it hurts my spirit when an evening that was supposed to be about listening to music and enjoying a show ends in tragedy,” the management added.
