A man from Bamboo Trace, Upper Fairley Street, Tunapuna, who was said to be differently-abled, was killed yesterday evening as he sat in front of his house.
The victim was identified as Kyplyn Sandy, 34.
Police said he was sitting on a chair in front of his house as he was accustomed to doing every evening, when a lone gunman walked up and shot him several times before running off.
While no motive was established for this murder up to late yesterday, officers dismissed claims on social media that it was gang-related and that Sandy was affiliated with the Resistance Gang.
Officers said Sandy was not connected to any gang or gang activity.
