Two men from Rio Claro were robbed in Port of Spain when they attempted to do a vehicular sale transaction for a car advertised on Facebook.
Police reports said, that around 11:30 am on Thursday, the victims went to George Street with the intention for one of them to purchase a vehicle advertised on Facebook for an agreed price of $20,000.
The other victim parked his burgundy Nissan Almera on the road in the vicinity of the early childhood centre while they awaited the prospected seller.
They were then approached by four men of African descent; one being armed with a firearm who announced a robbery.
The victims became fearful for their lives and complied.
The victims were robbed of $20,000 cash, an A24 Samsung Cellular Phone valued at $1,800, the burgundy Nissan Almera vehicle valued at $34,000 and a Google Pixel cellular phone valued at $4,000.
The men then escaped.
Investigations are continuing.
