A South Oropouche man and his stepson were shot multiple times in front of their home last night. Police said around 8.25 pm, Gary Jagoon, 38, of Lezama Trace, St John Village, and his 18-year-old stepson were in a shed in an open area when Jagoon's stepson heard a man call his name.
The man who called him was wearing dark clothing with a green peak cap and armed with a firearm. There was another man with him.
The suspect fired several as the teenager began to run. He got shot in his back and the left side of his buttocks and collapsed a short distance away. Meanwhile, Jagoon suffered gunshot wounds to his chest area. Relatives took the injured men to the San Fernando General Hospital. Police retrieved three spent 9 mm shells at the scene.
ASP Simon and Insp Pacheco were among the officers who visited the scene.
