Four people were arrested for multiple offences including robbery across several divisions over the past two days.

Quick and coordinated police responses, resulted in four persons being arrested for multiple offences, during multiple anti-crime exercises conducted across several Divisions over the past two days.
In the first incident, a swift response from officers of the St. Margaret’s Police Station thwarted an attempted shop breaking at a Claxton Bay business place on Tuesday 13th September, 2022.
Upon arriving at the location, the officers observed three masked suspects outside the building. On seeing the officers, the men ran off, but one suspect was held a short distance away.
In the second incident, officers of the Central Divison Task Force, Area South, intercepted a motor vehicle with two male suspects following a report of Assault with Intent to Rob, in the Preysal district a short while earlier.
The men, ages 27 and 38, both of Piarco, were arrested in connection with the incident.
Meanwhile, a police-involved shooting incident in the North Eastern Division last night, resulted in the arrest of one suspect, the recovery of one motor vehicle and several mobile devices which are believed to have been stolen.
Officers of the NED Intelligence Unit, the NED Task Force, the Criminal Investigations Department Crime Patrol responded to a report of Armed Robbery in the Aranguez district around 8:15 pm, on Wednesday 14th September, 2022.
While proceeding to the location, the officers observed two suspects crossing the Priority Bus Route and attempted to apprehend them.
One of the men allegedly pointed an object resembling a firearm in the direction of the officers and shot at them. The officers, in keeping with the Use of Force Policy, returned fire in the direction of the suspect.
One 19-year-old man was subsequently arrested and a mobile phone which was reported stolen, found in his possession.
Subsequent searches of the area resulted in officers finding three more mobile devices.
Acting on information, the officers proceeded to the Morvant district, where they discovered two motor vehicles- a silver Nissan Tiida which was reported stolen last month and a Nissan Sylphy bearing a false license plate.
And, an Operation Strike Back exercise conducted in the Santa Cruz district by officers of the NEDTF and the Canine Branch, resulted in the discovery of one pistol loaded with a magazine containing eight rounds of ammunition.
Investigations are ongoing into all the incidents.
