Starting from tomorrow (Tuesday), if you go into a T&TEC Service Centre to pay your electricity bill, you can collect your free LED light bulbs at the same time.
This according to Public Utilities Minister Marvin Gonzales and the chairman of T&TEC, Keith Sirju.
Both men were speaking at a virtual press conference held on Monday afternoon. The announcement comes almost one year after Finance Minister Colm Imbert announced that LED bulbs would be given out to all households in T&T in his 2019/2020 budget presentation in October 2019.
Sirju said T&TEC has also launched its Energy Management Application- an online-based application which allows registered users to track their energy consumption over the last year, to track their daily energy usage, their carbon footprint and calculate the cost of their electricity consumption.
T&TEC systems analyst Rene Laban said the application will also allow users to set energy consumption targets.
He said the application will show two years of usage history and allow customers to determine which of their appliances use the most electricity.
