Armed men opened fire on the op­er­a­tor of a Freeport veg­etable stall on Tues­day, min­utes af­ter in­struct­ing her to close the place down.

Po­lice said the in­ci­dent oc­curred at 12.20 pm at Pro Veg­gies 868. The pro­pri­etor told po­lice she was con­duct­ing sales when a sil­ver car stopped and two armed, masked men came out. One of the men walked in and shout­ed, “Alyuh had­da close down this place now!”

He fired a shot at her, then fired shots at the build­ing’s roof. The sus­pects then got back in­to the car and drove off.
