From be­hind the cam­era to award win­ning jour­nal­ist, Guardian Me­dia pro­duc­er Brent Pin­heiro swept three ma­jor cat­e­gories at the Caribbean Tourism Or­gan­i­sa­tion’s (CTO) Me­dia Awards on Mon­day.

Pin­heiro won in the cat­e­gories, Best Sto­ry, Best Video Pro­duc­tion and Emerg­ing Jour­nal­ist of the Year.

The event took place at the In­ter­Con­ti­nen­tal ho­tel in Times Square, New York, as part of CTO’s Caribbean Week.

Pin­heiro, an avi­a­tion geek and trav­el junkie, has trav­elled the world film­ing, script­ing and pro­duc­ing trav­el con­tent for Guardian Me­dia for the past 2 years.  With a par­tic­u­lar fo­cus on the Caribbean, Pin­heiro’s broad­cast and dig­i­tal news seg­ments show­case the rich­ness and di­ver­si­ty of Caribbean cul­ture, peo­ple and land­scapes.

As CTO’s Emerg­ing Jour­nal­ist of the Year, Pin­heiro is rec­og­nized for demon­strat­ing ex­cep­tion­al tal­ent, po­ten­tial and com­mit­ment to ex­cel­lence in Caribbean me­dia.
