The Judiciary says it is aware of the "tremendous hardship" delays in processing its CourtPay payments have caused.
CourtPay is a method of payment for those who have been ordered by the court to pay maintenance.
However, payments to the intended recipients have been delayed. The Judiciary says there is a backlog from October 2023 to January 2024. It reports that payments after January have been processed.
The Judiciary says it is working with the service provider to resolve the issue.
"Our efforts have resulted in up-to-date payments, for both cash and credit card customers, for transactions made after January 28, 2024. In most instances, customers are receiving payments within 4 business days," the Judiciary said in a release.
It added: "Notwithstanding the progress made, other customers who have outstanding payments within the backlog period remain severely affected."
