Opposition UNC leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar didn't show up for Monday night's UNC Monday night Forum due to a "critical meeting" she had to attend.
UNC MP Rudy Indarsingh gave that explanation at the Forum last night. He didn't detail the meeting. Other UNC officials didn't respond on the meeting but assured she was in good health.
Indarsingh said T&T was "in a state of decadence" due to an "ineptitude Prime Minister and incompetent Prime Minister."
Indarsingh said last Wednesday's power outage for 12 hours was "apocalyptic" and "we must demand an official explanation from the Prime Minister on this," adding the PM left T&T for the Qatar energy summit without explaining.
"Rohan Sinanan must explain why there were no backup generators for traffic lights that day, Marvin Gonzales must say why 40 water treatment plants and 107 booster stations didn't have generators!"

Indarsingh called on Public Utilities Minister Gonzales to say if he'd scheduled water in Couva every nine days and if this was also done in Government MPs' areas also. Indarsingh warned T&T may be heading to the days of "water riots" for people to get a reliable supply.
Barry Padarath (shadow Public Utilities and Public Administration pointman) slammed reaction by Sinanan whom Padarath called about elderly Princes Town constituents Ramdaye and Doodooman Sankar who died in a fire last Sunday.
Padarath said emergency services couldn't reach them due to bad roads he'd told Sinanan about before.
Padarath slammed Ministers Gonzales and Stuart Young's statements on the recent TTEC outage, "You think the people of T&T is (sic) dotish, dunce and deaf?!"
Rodney Charles (National Security spokesman) claimed taxpayers' funds went into PM Keith Rowley's current Qatar trip and the energy summit would have been like an "all-inclusive fete" for Rowley.
