Op­po­si­tion UNC leader Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar didn't show up for Mon­day night's UNC Mon­day night Fo­rum due to a "crit­i­cal meet­ing" she had to at­tend.

UNC MP Rudy In­dars­ingh gave that ex­pla­na­tion at the Fo­rum last night. He didn't de­tail the meet­ing. Oth­er UNC of­fi­cials didn't re­spond on the meet­ing but as­sured she was in good health.

In­dars­ingh said T&T was "in a state of deca­dence" due to an "in­ep­ti­tude Prime Min­is­ter and in­com­pe­tent Prime Min­is­ter."

In­dars­ingh said last Wednes­day's pow­er out­age for 12 hours was "apoc­a­lyp­tic" and "we must de­mand an of­fi­cial ex­pla­na­tion from the Prime Min­is­ter on this," adding the PM left T&T for the Qatar en­er­gy sum­mit with­out ex­plain­ing.

"Ro­han Sinanan must ex­plain why there were no back­up gen­er­a­tors for traf­fic lights that day, Mar­vin Gon­za­les must say why 40 wa­ter treat­ment plants and 107 boost­er sta­tions didn't have gen­er­a­tors!"

In­dars­ingh called on Pub­lic Util­i­ties Min­is­ter Gon­za­les to say if he'd sched­uled wa­ter in Cou­va every nine days and if this was al­so done in Gov­ern­ment MPs' ar­eas al­so. In­dars­ingh warned T&T may be head­ing to the days of "wa­ter ri­ots" for peo­ple to get a re­li­able sup­ply.

Bar­ry Padarath (shad­ow Pub­lic Util­i­ties and Pub­lic Ad­min­is­tra­tion point­man) slammed re­ac­tion by Sinanan whom Padarath called about el­der­ly Princes Town con­stituents Ram­daye and Doo­dooman Sankar who died in a fire last Sun­day.

Padarath said emer­gency ser­vices couldn't reach them due to bad roads he'd told Sinanan about be­fore.

Padarath slammed Min­is­ters Gon­za­les and Stu­art Young's state­ments on the re­cent TTEC out­age, "You think the peo­ple of T&T is (sic) dotish, dunce and deaf?!"

Rod­ney Charles (Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty spokesman) claimed tax­pay­ers' funds went in­to PM Kei­th Row­ley's cur­rent Qatar trip and the en­er­gy sum­mit would have been like an "all-in­clu­sive fete" for Row­ley.
