More than 100 children from across south Trinidad participated in the Marabella Festival Council's 36th annual Children's Carnival in Marabella yesterday.
Hosted by the Council's president Allan Campbell, the children came out in their numbers shortly after 1 pm.
A total of 18 bands participated in the parade. Flanked by parents and other guests, the children paraded along the Southern Main Road from Battoo Avenue to the Marabella Roundabout.
Among those participating were the Eckles Village band, Beach and Associates and House of Jacqui.
The costumes were cleverly designed and featured important aspects of T&T's culture and heritage.
The bands participated in three categories small, medium and large.
