Joseph Lewis has won the King of Carnival competition and Shynel Brizan took the crown in the Queen competition held on Sunday night during the Dimanche Gras show at the Queen’s Park Savannah.
Joseph’s presentation, ‘Kreegorseth - Mystic Guardian of the Amazons’ amassed 434 points to place ahead of Curtis Eustace’s ‘Master of the Mantras’ and Keston Benthum’s ‘Cernunnos Reborn’ tying for second with 432 points.
Brizan’s ‘Olugve-Rere Ko - The Spirit Who Brings Good Things’ won with 431 points followed by Ruth Mendez’s ‘Madame Cocoyea’ and Dana Rampersad’s ‘ Fantasy The Phantom Queen’ with 421 points each.
Carnival Queen 2022 Shynel Camile Brizan portrays Olugbe-Rere Ko- The Spirt who brings Good things in the African category during the Kings and Queen finals at the Queen’s Park Savannah. Port-of-Spain, on Sunday.
