The fu­ner­al for the late min­is­ter in the Min­istry of Ed­u­ca­tion and D’Abadie/O’Meara) Lisa Mor­ris-Ju­lian and two of her chil­dren will take place on Jan­u­ary 2, 2025.

The Gov­ern­ment, via a state­ment from the Of­fice of the Prime Min­is­ter—Com­mu­ni­ca­tions on Tues­day, said the state-as­sist­ed fu­ner­al is sched­uled to be held at the San­ta Rosa RC Church in Ari­ma at 9 am.

The state­ment said the Min­istry of For­eign and Cari­com Af­fairs con­tin­ues to sup­port Mor­ris-Ju­lian’s fam­i­ly with fu­ner­al arrange­ments ap­proved by the Cab­i­net.

The MP and two of her chil­dren died on De­cem­ber 16, af­ter a fire broke out at their Far­fan Street home.

There is cur­rent­ly a probe in­to the re­sponse to the fire which oc­curred with­in walk­ing dis­tance from the Ari­ma Fire Sta­tion.

Mor­ris-Ju­lian’s hus­band Daniel, sis­ter Tra­cy, el­dest son Ix­i­ah, daugh­ter Anya and her boyfriend Ed­ward man­aged to es­cape the fire with in­juries.

Daniel, Ix­i­ah and Anya were hos­pi­talised.

They have all been dis­charged.
