A Preysal man was killed at the Beetham Land­fill around 8.45 am to­day.

Tris­tan Har­riper­sad, 19, of Low­er Cou­va died at the scene when a dump truck ran over him.

The de­ceased was not an em­ploy­ee of the Sol­id Waster Man­age­ment Com­pa­ny Lim­it­ed.

The vic­tim's grand­moth­er ar­rived at the site around 11 am, af­ter learn­ing of the in­ci­dent and was al­lowed to en­ter the busy com­pound where she re­mains at this time.
