A 61-year-old Laventille man was arrested in relation to a break-in at a furniture store in downtown Port-of-Spain early on Tuesday morning.

Police said the man and his accomplice were seen pulling items through burglar-proofing at a store on Henry Street, at 4.42 am.

According to the man, one of the men was removing the items while the other placed them in an orange bag.

The man called the police and officers of the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF), and found one of the men with an orange bag containing two sheet sets.

Investigators said the burglar proofing was pried open and a glass window broken to gain access.
