One firearm, a quan­ti­ty of am­mu­ni­tion, and drugs were seized dur­ing an­ti-crime ex­er­cis­es in the Table­land Polic­ing Dis­trict on Wednes­day.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, at ap­prox­i­mate­ly 3:00 PM, of­fi­cers, act­ing on in­tel­li­gence in­for­ma­tion, pro­ceed­ed to a bushy area along Gun­ness Trace, No­har Road, Table­land. Dur­ing a search, a black plas­tic wrap was dis­cov­ered con­tain­ing two blocks of cannabis in­side a cylin­dri­cal met­al pipe. The nar­cot­ic, which weighed 1075 grams, was se­cured and has an es­ti­mat­ed street val­ue of $107,500.

Fur­ther in­ves­ti­ga­tions led of­fi­cers to a mar­ket stall lo­cat­ed along the Na­pari­ma Ma­yaro Road, Table­land, where 72 grams of cannabis were found and seized. The 25-year-old pro­pri­etor of the stall was ar­rest­ed for pos­ses­sion of mar­i­jua­na.

Of­fi­cers then pro­ceed­ed to a lot of land off No­har Road, Robert Vil­lage, Table­land. Be­neath a slab of con­crete, a black plas­tic bag was dis­cov­ered con­tain­ing a firearm, loaded with five rounds of .38 Spl am­mu­ni­tion. Ad­di­tion­al­ly, four more rounds of .38 Spl am­mu­ni­tion were found in­side the same black plas­tic bag. The items were se­cured and trans­port­ed to the Table­land Po­lice Sta­tion.
