A 24-year-old man was killed while his friend was in­jured dur­ing an ac­ci­dent in Freeport this morn­ing.

Kiel “Ravi” Ali, a for­eign used car parts sales­man, of Main­got Street, Cal­cut­ta # 2, died on im­pact.

Some­time af­ter 4am, a man on his way to work saw the ac­ci­dent along Mis­sion Road. Ali’s car, blue Hon­da Civic, had ap­par­ent­ly crashed in­to a con­crete wall near RC En­ter­pris­es.

The man went live on Face­book ask­ing that some­one con­tact the emer­gency ser­vices be­cause he was not get­ting through to them.

Short­ly af­ter, around 4.22 am the po­lice ar­rived at the scene.

They saw Ali’s friend Kadesh Singh, 20, of Singh Ave Freeport who was sit­ting in the front seat when the ac­ci­dent oc­curred was bleed­ing and lean­ing against a wall. He had cuts and bruis­es about his body.

Singh al­so suf­fered a bro­ken an­kle. He was tak­en to the Cou­va Health Fa­cil­i­ty and then trans­ferred to the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing.
