Days after he was last seen, a 56-year-old man was found dead at his Cumuto home on Friday.
Police are investigating the circumstances which led to the death of Roland Fortune after the chilling discovery was made just before 10 am. Fortune’s body appeared to have multiple stab wounds.
Police were called to a board structure off Cumuto Main Road on Friday, where they found his body. He was lying on his back on a bed, and his body was in an advanced state of decomposition. Fortune was wearing long blue-coloured pants, bareback and a pair of green socks, investigators said.
Fortune had last been seen out and about on Tuesday. As days passed with no sign of Fortune, a resident decided to check on him Friday.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death has been scheduled for Tuesday at the Forensic Science Centre.
