Arima police are investigating the murder of 35-year-old Ben Plaza, also known as “Poonka,” who was gunned down on Sunday night while in the company of two minors in Maturita Extension, Arima.
According to a police report, Plaza was seated on a chair along Bypass Road at 9.15 pm, when two men emerged from a Honda Vezel and opened fire.
Plaza was struck multiple times about the body and died at the scene. The children escaped injury.
Investigators later recovered 34 spent 9mm shell casings at the location.
