The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) currently is searching for four inmates who remain on the run, after escaping from the Golden Grove Prison, Arouca, on Sunday night.
Official police reports state that the escapees are:
■ ANTHONY SEEPERSAD, aka RAJESH/RAKESH SANDOOKEE, 29, whose last known address is Penco Street, Chaguanas. He had been charged with larceny motor vehicle.
■ KURIEN DOUGLAS, 26, whose last known address is Woodbrook. He had been charged with the offences of robbery with violence.
■ SHAQUILLE DRAYTON aka JABARI WILLIAMS, 30, whose last known addresses are Bayshore, Marabella and Logie Street, Siparia. He had been charged for the offence of assault.
■ THEON THOMAS, 24, whose last known address is Ramdeen Trace, Rock Road, Penal. He had been charged with house breaking and larceny.
Reports indicate that five men were discovered missing from Dormitory #4 of the prison around 10:30 pm, on Sunday 20th March 2022. Checks revealed that BRC wire was cut and the galvanise in the roof of the dormitory had been raised.
Several units responded to the report, including the Air Support Mobile, the North-Central Task Force, the Northern Division Task Force and the Northern Division Emergency Response Patrol.
Checks were made in surrounding areas which resulted in the recapture of one of the escapees, KEVIN JAGDEO, in the Trincity district. He was arrested and is in police custody.
The hunt is ongoing for the other four men.
