Minister of Education Dr. Nyan Gadsby-Dolly and senior executive members of the Ministry of Education (MoE) visited 13 schools including two ECCE Centres in the Caroni education district today.
According to a press release from the Ministry, during the visit the team spoke with principals, deans, teachers and other school administrators about safety protocols, attendance schedules, infrastructure concerns and other matters of school operations.

Senior Executives of the Ministry of Education, led by Ministers of Education, Dr. the Honourable Nyan Gadsby-Dolly and the Honourable Lisa Morris- Julian, visited thirteen (13) schools, including two (2) ECCE Centres in the Caroni Education District today, Tuesday 7th June, 2022.
The visit commenced at 8:30am at Vishnu Boys’ Hindu College, then to Caroni S.D.M.S Primary, Caroni SDMS ECCE, Caroni Presbyterian Primary, Warrenville Presbyterian Primary and Warrenville TIA Primary. The MOE delegation, which also included the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Lenor Baptiste- Simmons, Chief Education Officer, Dr. Peter Smith and Director of School Supervision, Joy Griffith, then moved to Warrenville TIA ECCE Centre, Cunupia Government Primary, Cunupia Government Secondary, Jerningham Government Primary, Longdenville Presbyterian Primary, Presentation College, Chaguanas, and Chaguanas R.C. Primary School.
During the visits, the MOE team interfaced with principals, deans, teachers and other school administrators, who provided an overview of safety protocols, attendance schedules, infrastructure concerns and other matters of school operations. Ministers Gadsby-Dolly and Morris- Julian also toured the classrooms and shared words of encouragement and support with students and teachers.
Dr. Gadsby-Dolly congratulated the Principal, staff for their efforts at maintaining safety protocols and keeping schools safe. The Education Minister reminded students that they must continue to be vigilant, “You must observe all the health protocols and remind your friends to do the same, in order to prevent the spread of the Covid-19."
In February 2021, Ministers Gadsby-Dolly, Morris-Julian and members of the MOE senior executive team, embarked on a schedule of semimonthly school visits. The MOE team has so far visited just over one hundred (100) secondary, primary, Special Schools and ECCE centres across the seven Education Districts in Trinidad, and will continue until visits to all 823 schools have been completed.
