A murder accused who was granted bail in 2023 has been remanded into custody after breaching one of the conditions of his release.
Masud Rasheed was ordered by Justice N. Singh on February 27, 2023, to reside at an address in Munroe Road, Cunupia, and to observe a nightly curfew between 8 pm and 5 am.
The order expressly stated that any breach would result in the immediate revocation of bail.
According to police reports, just before midnight on September 10, 2025, officers on mobile patrol along Asgarali Street in Cunupia observed a man walking along the roadway with a cloth covering his head. When instructed to remove it, the man was identified as Rasheed.
Master L. Singh-Phillip subsequently found him in breach of the order, revoked his bail, and ordered that he be remanded into custody.
