A mur­der ac­cused who was grant­ed bail in 2023 has been re­mand­ed in­to cus­tody af­ter breach­ing one of the con­di­tions of his re­lease.

Ma­sud Rasheed was or­dered by Jus­tice N. Singh on Feb­ru­ary 27, 2023, to re­side at an ad­dress in Munroe Road, Cunu­pia, and to ob­serve a night­ly cur­few be­tween 8 pm and 5 am.

The or­der ex­press­ly stat­ed that any breach would re­sult in the im­me­di­ate re­vo­ca­tion of bail.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, just be­fore mid­night on Sep­tem­ber 10, 2025, of­fi­cers on mo­bile pa­trol along As­gar­ali Street in Cunu­pia ob­served a man walk­ing along the road­way with a cloth cov­er­ing his head. When in­struct­ed to re­move it, the man was iden­ti­fied as Rasheed.

Mas­ter L. Singh-Phillip sub­se­quent­ly found him in breach of the or­der, re­voked his bail, and or­dered that he be re­mand­ed in­to cus­tody.
