A 54-year-old man will face a Port-of-Spain magistrate Friday on charges of two counts of sexual penetration of a child.
The accused was remanded into custody pending further inquiries when he appeared before Magistrate Maureen Baboolal-Gaffoor at the Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Court Thursday.
The charges stem from a report made on February 18, which alleged that a man sexually penetrated a seven-year-old boy on February 10, as well as an 11-year-old boy on unknown dates between November and December 2021.
The man was arrested on Friday, February 18, and charged with two counts of sexual penetration of a child on February 22, 2022.
Investigations were supervised by Supt (Ag) Claire Guy-Alleyne and ASP Roberts and Sgt David of the Gender-Based-Violence Unit.
