The de­com­pos­ing body of a man ini­tial­ly found in a forest­ed area off the La Re­source Road in Ari­ma on Wednes­day, was fi­nal­ly re­cov­ered on Thurs­day.

Po­lice re­port­ed that the body was found on Wednes­day by a CEPEP fore­man, who con­tact­ed the po­lice to re­port the dis­cov­ery.

How­ev­er, when of­fi­cers re­port­ed to the scene, they were un­able to re­trieve the body due to the ter­rain. The re­cov­ery process was fi­nal­ly com­plet­ed suc­cess­ful­ly on Thurs­day.

Po­lice said the man was bare­backed and found ly­ing on his back with his pants and un­der­wear down to his an­kles.

Due to the ad­vanced stage of de­com­po­si­tion, how­ev­er, a pos­i­tive iden­ti­fi­ca­tion could not be made. -Jensen La Vende
