It’s been three months since Fil­ipino woman Ly­ka Bernas, 29, was last seen and is deemed still miss­ing.

In an up­date on the in­ves­ti­ga­tions, the Po­lice Ser­vice can on­ly con­firm, through en­quiries so far, that Bernas has not left the coun­try through any le­gal ports, “and as such the search con­tin­ues.”

De­spite a $20,000 re­ward for any in­for­ma­tion lead­ing to Bernas’ where­abouts, Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands that no in­for­ma­tion has been forth­com­ing.

Po­lice sources at the Bel­mont Po­lice Sta­tion said they seem to have hit a “dead end” but as­sured that they are still search­ing and will­ing to go on any hints from mem­bers of the pub­lic who may have in­for­ma­tion and fear­ful of com­ing for­ward.

In an in­ter­view with Guardian Me­dia ear­li­er this year, Amelia Bernas Sal­vador, Bernas’ aunt ex­plained just how hope­less the fam­i­ly has been since she went miss­ing last De­cem­ber with­out a trace.

Sal­vador said they have not been able to eat or sleep and added that when they do rest most of their dreams are about her and in their dreams Bernas ap­pears to be in pain and ask­ing for help.

Bernas, who has been in the coun­try for just over three years, was last em­ployed lo­cal­ly as a nan­ny.

Bernas, of Jern­ing­ham Av­enue, Bel­mont, was last seen at about 9 pm on De­cem­ber 10, 2021 and was re­port­ed miss­ing on De­cem­ber 13, 2021.

Bernas is of slim build and brown in com­plex­ion with long black hair.

She was last seen wear­ing a grey jer­sey and a pair of short pants.

Bernas al­so has a tat­too of an ar­row on the left side of her tor­so.
