One new death, 95 new cases of COVID-19 in Tobago

To­ba­go is re­port­ing one new death—a ful­ly vac­ci­nat­ed per­son—from COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.  The is­land’s death toll now stands at 265 lives lost.

That’s ac­cord­ing to the lat­est up­date from the Di­vi­sion of Health, Well­ness and So­cial Pro­tec­tion, in the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly (THA), dat­ed Thurs­day 28 April 2022.

The most re­cent death on the is­land was re­port­ed a week ago, on Fri­day 22nd April 2022.  A ful­ly vac­ci­nat­ed per­son was record­ed as the COVID-19 de­ceased on that date.

The re­port al­so notes there were 95 new pos­i­tive COVID-19 cas­es over the past 24 hours.  The num­ber of cur­rent ac­tive in­fec­tions on the is­land now stands at 451.

The Health Di­vi­sion al­so is re­port­ing that 12 peo­ple cur­rent­ly are hos­pi­talised with COVID-19.  Nine of these pa­tients have not been vac­ci­nat­ed at all against the dis­ease, while on­ly three pa­tients have been ful­ly vac­ci­nat­ed.

The To­ba­go COVID-19 up­date for 28 April 2022 al­so notes that at present, the to­tal num­ber of peo­ple in To­ba­go who have re­cov­ered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 7,941.
