Twenty-two Venezuelan nationals were detained after police raided a nightclub in Curepe last Friday night.
An undisclosed quantity of marijuana and Xanax tablets were also allegedly seized.
Police said the anti-crime and intelligence based exercise, as part of Operation Hurricane, was conducted in North Central Division between 11 pm on Friday to 5 am on Saturday.
The officers went to a popular nightclub located along the Southern Main Road in Curepe.
The officers then searched the premises, where several people were liming, and allegedly found a quantity of marijuana on the floor all around the premises, as well as a quantity of grey-coloured pills resembling Xanax, which is used to treat anxiety disorder.
Police also detained 22 illegal Venezuelan migrants between the ages of 19 to 30 at the nightclub.
