Rush­ton Paray, Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment for Ma­yaro is call­ing on At­tor­ney Gen­er­al Regi­nald Ar­mour to ad­dress the un­avail­abil­i­ty of poly­mer birth cer­tifi­cates; a prob­lem he says has been on­go­ing for over a month.

"This cri­sis serves as a glar­ing ex­am­ple of the con­tin­u­ous gov­er­nance fail­ures of this Row­ley-led Ad­min­is­tra­tion," Paray said.

Paray said the lack of cer­tifi­cates can af­fect cru­cial ac­tiv­i­ties such as trav­el, visa ap­pli­ca­tions and more.

Re­ports have cit­ed the short­ages of both ma­chin­ery mal­func­tions and short­ages of spe­cialised pa­per need­ed for print­ing.
