Paria Fuel Trading Company Limited is refuting claims made by the Oilfields Workers Trade Union this morning, that the body of the fourth diver involved in a tragic accident at one of its pipelines, was recovered in parts.

In an official statement titled “The fourth diver has not been found”, Paria asserts that recovery efforts will not stop until the last man is brought home.

The following is the full text of the Paria statement…

“Paria Fuel Trading Company Limited (Paria) categorically denies that the body of the fourth diver has been found as stated by the OWTU Education and Research Officer Ozzie Warwick to Guardian Media.

All the affected families continue to be informed with timely updates and earlier this morning (01 March 2022) were advised that recovery operations will continue relentlessly until the fourth body is found.

Paria again extends its condolences to the affected families and will continue to provide all necessary support.”
