A Pi­paro man had to be rushed to the hos­pi­tal on Sun­day night fol­low­ing a dri­ve-by shoot­ing in Laven­tille.

Po­lice said the 21-year-old was re­port­ed­ly with his fa­ther and sev­er­al oth­er men at The Palace, which is lo­cat­ed at the cor­ner of Pic­ton and Laven­tille Road, around 11.30 pm on Oc­to­ber 12.

That’s when a white Nis­san Ti­i­da drove past and the oc­cu­pants opened fire on the group, be­fore speed­ing off along Laven­tille Road.

The vic­tim lat­er raised an alarm that he had been shot in the left leg, and was tak­en to the Port-of-Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal, where he was treat­ed and dis­charged.
