Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley and Minister of Foreign Affairs Amery Browne participated in emergency meetings of CARICOM heads of government to discuss the grave situation in Haiti. The Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau was also present at the meeting.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this country joined with fellow CARICOM Member States in supporting the United Nations' position on Haiti and gave a firm commitment to supply humanitarian and technical assistance toward the re-establishment of democratic governance in Haiti.
