Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley took some time to celebrate with the people of Guyana on Thursday, as the country celebrated its 54th Republic Day.
The T&T Prime Minister also spent some time visiting the Iwokrama River Lodge and Research Centre, located on the west bank of the Essequibo.
Rowley is in Guyana attending the Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo.
On Rowley’s Facebook page, he posted photographs of the tour of the river and centre, where he explored the ancient petroglyphs.
Also on Thursday, Rowley was the chief guest at Guyana’s Republic Anniversary Flag Raising Ceremony.
Guyana President Dr Mohammed Irfaan Ali, his wife Arya, as well as Guyana Prime Minister Mark Phillips and his wife Mignon were also in attendance.
