The fa­mous Black 2 Blue break­fast par­ty is mark­ing its 15-year an­niver­sary with its 2024 theme “Can­dy­land”.

The Back 2 Blue break­fast par­ty is sched­uled to take place on Sat­ur­day (Jan­u­ary 13, 2024), from 2 am to 8 am, at the Bri­an Lara Crick­et Acad­e­my in Tarou­ba.

Il­lu­Sions Di­rec­tor, Dami­an “Fram” Ba­boolal, ex­plained the mean­ing be­hind the en­dur­ing name.

“Black 2 Blue re­al­ly means the dark of the night to the blue of the day, and once you have at­tend­ed this fete you will un­der­stand the con­cept,” he said.

“This is our 15th year host­ing this fete.  Dur­ing COVID, we fa­cil­i­tat­ed a ful­ly vir­tu­al record­ed event which was called Black 2 Blue Back­yard Jam,” he ex­plained.  “Then when re­stric­tions were lift­ed, we had a so­cial­ly dis­tanced con­cert in the Na­pari­ma Bowl.  So, this year. it is a land­mark achieve­ment, and the ex­cite­ment is in the air.”

Ac­cord­ing to Ba­boolal, many peo­ple look for­ward to the Black 2 Blue fete as it kicks off their Car­ni­val ex­pe­ri­ence and is held in a con­ve­nient lo­ca­tion, Tarou­ba.

“So, we have per­sons com­ing from North, East, South and Cen­tral,” the Il­lu­Sions di­rec­tor not­ed.  

He al­so re­vealed the top-notch artistes who pro­vide the en­ter­tain­ment.

“This year will be even big­ger as we have a slate of amaz­ing per­form­ers such as Na­dia Bat­son, Aaron ‘Voice’ St Louis, Ker­win Du Bois, Mi­cael Te­ja, Young Bred­da and Olatun­tji, among oth­ers,” he re­vealed.  “So, it promis­es to be a great morn­ing fete.”

Apart from the star-stud­ded per­for­mances, a wide ar­ray of com­pli­men­ta­ry break­fast items will be made avail­able at the event.
