A contractor was gunned down in front of his Cocoyea Village, San Fernando home last night, more than a month after he survived an attempt on his life.
The victim, Praimraj Heerah, 44, succumbed to his injuries at the San Fernando General Hospital.
Initial reports stated that around 7 pm on Tuesday, Heerah was standing in front of his home when several explosions were heard.
He was found on the ground, bleeding from several wounds.
Paramedics took Heerah to the hospital, where he died around 7:56 pm.
Back in October, gunmen had opened fire on Heerah's vehicle when he had arrived home with his two children and their friend.
Heerah sustained grazes to his toe and ear. Fearing for his life and his family's safety, he requested police protection.
At the time, he was renting a house in Ben Lomond Village, Williamsville.
Days later, he moved out of the property.
No one has been arrested for that incident.
Officers from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations, Region 3, are investigating.
