A 26-year-old expectant mother is among two women who are expected to be charged for allegedly dousing a Maraval hairstylist with acid in February.
Police said the woman and another 20-year-old woman were sought for weeks in relation to the attack which happened on February 21.
Both women surrendered to Belmont police with their attorney on Monday afternoon.
However sources disclosed that the 26-year-old felt unwell on Monday evening and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Police confirmed the 26-year-old was positively identified after being placed on identification parade on Tuesday afternoon, while the 20-year-old was known by the victim and did not have to go on identification parade.
Investigators said both women were expected to be charged later on Tuesday evening and will appear before a Port-of-Spain magistrate (Wednesday).
The hairstylist, 21-year-old Jessie James, was reportedly contacted by a stranger, who invited her to Belmont for an appointment.
However on reaching Brathwaite Lane, James was confronted by two women who accused her of socialising with men they knew.
The confrontation escalated to an altercation, where one of the women snatched James' cellphone, before throwing acid on her face.
James suffered chemical burns and was taken to the Port-of-Spain General Hospital where she remained warded for two weeks before being discharged.
In an interview with Guardian Media last Friday, James, who was still experiencing pain and discomfort from the burns said she could not find it in her heart to forgive her attackers.
She said that vision in both eyes was still difficult, but did not receive much feedback from doctors on whether she would regain her eyesight.
