A Stan­dard Five teacher has been charged with a sex­u­al of­fence against one of his stu­dents. Po­lice ar­rest­ed the 47-year-old teacher who works at a pri­ma­ry school in Ch­agua­nas at the school on Wednes­day. He was charged by WPC Rogers-Flem­ming, with one count of sex­u­al touch­ing of a child.

The of­fence was al­leged­ly com­mit­ted against the 11-year-old vic­tim af­ter she at­tend­ed lessons at his home on a date un­known dur­ing the pe­ri­od April 30 and Ju­ly 1. He al­leged­ly lured the child in­to his bed­room, re­moved her cloth­ing and mas­saged her. The in­ci­dent was re­port­ed to the po­lice last month.
