Princes Town MP Barry Padarath has doubled down on his call to Minister Gonzales to "come clean" regarding the hiring of the new Senior Human Resources Manager at T&TEC and what he called the politically-charged incestuous relationship that exists between the government, the RIC and T&TEC.
In a media release, Padarath told Minister Gonzales that "instead of answering any of the Opposition's questions, or for the very least giving a commitment to seek out answers, the Minister chose to engage in personal attacks."
The MP for Princes Town also warned Gonzales that no amount of posturing and attacks will make his questions go away.
MP Padarath once again asked the Minister of Public Utilities, "is the Government stacking the board of T&TEC with PNM members?
Has the work of the first committee to interview applicants for the position of Chief Human Resources Manager been quashed and has a new process started to give the PNM their desired outcome? Was a new set of interviews conducted on March 7th to facilitate their chosen candidate?
Did the government instruct and engage in an attempt to pad T&TEC with a Chief Human Resources Manager who is alleged to be a first cousin of a senior PNM executive member? Has the Minister advised T&TEC to get their house in order as it pertains to implementing the new electricity rates?"
