Reg­is­tra­tion for the Na­tion­al Ca­lyp­so Monarch and Ex­tem­po Monarch com­pe­ti­tions be­gin at 9.AM on on Feb­ru­ary 3rd and ends on Feb­ru­ary 10th at 3.PM. Ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease from TU­CO, the de­ci­sion was tak­en fol­low­ing a meet­ing of the Gen­er­al Coun­cil.

The press re­lease al­so stat­ed that all com­peti­tors must be ful­ly vac­ci­nat­ed to en­ter all com­pe­ti­tions as guid­ed by the pub­lic health reg­u­la­tions.

On Tues­day 1st Feb­ru­ary, 2022, the Gen­er­al Coun­cil of the Trin­ba­go Uni­fied Ca­lyp­so­ni­ans’ Or­gan­i­sa­tion (TU­CO) met and the fol­low­ing de­ci­sions were tak­en: 

Reg­is­tra­tion for the Na­tion­al Ca­lyp­so Monarch and Ex­tem­po Monarch com­pe­ti­tions be­gin on Thurs­day 3rd Feb­ru­ary 2022 at 9.AM and ends on Thurs­day 10th Feb­ru­ary 2022 at 3.PM. 

The Pre­lim­i­nar­ies for the Na­tion­al Ca­lyp­so Monarch will be held on the 11th and 12th Feb­ru­ary, 2022, 9.AM at TU­CO Head Of­fice at #45C Jer­ming­ham Av­enue, Port of Spain and on the 13th Feb­ru­ary 2022, 9.AM, To­ba­go (Venue to be an­nounced). 

The Pre­lim­i­nary round for the Ex­tem­po Monarch will be held on the 14th Feb­ru­ary, 2022 at the Queen’s Park Sa­van­nah, Port-of-Spain at 7.PM 

Reg­is­tra­tion fees for all Com­pe­ti­tions are One Hun­dred dol­lars ($100.00) for Mem­bers and Five Hun­dred Dol­lars ($500.00) for Non-Mem­bers. 

Mem­ber­ship year­ly sub­scrip­tion re­mains at One Hun­dred and Fifty Dol­lars ($150.00) for 2022. 

Com­peti­tors MUST be ful­ly vac­ci­nat­ed to en­ter all com­pe­ti­tions as guid­ed by the pub­lic health reg­u­la­tions pub­lished by the Gov­ern­ment of the Re­pub­lic of Trinidad and To­ba­go.
