As the search for missing electrician Shiva Lochan continued Monday, there were renewed calls for information that could lead to his safe return.
Holding out hope that the 28-year-old Debe man is still alive, relatives, who have checked public hospitals and the Forensic Science Centre, appealed for any clues which could point them to his location.
Lochan was last seen around 8.45 pm last Thursday when he left home after receiving a call about a job.
His brother, Steven Lochan, said the circumstances of his disappearance are highly unusual.
“He got a call about work and left, but never reached back home,” he said.
He said relatives formed a search party and have been visiting “any and every back road” along with members of Hunters Search and Rescue led by Vallence Rambharat.
Steven said his brother had no visible scars or tattoos, except for his long hair, by which he could be identified.
Lochan’s car was found abandoned at Uva Drive, Dyette Estate, Cunupia, between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Calls to his cell phone have gone unanswered.
Contacted for an update around noon yesterday, Rambharat said they had been receiving calls from the public and are verifying information with the police as reports were received.
“We are still searching along with family members. We have hope,” he said.
